Sugandmantri is also called Hongu-Kakla-manbi which is found in subtropical climates of Asia and America. In India it is found in northeast regions of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura.

It is used in traditional Chinese medicine especially for liver and kidney and various other health reasons.
