Argan oils scientific name is Argania Spinosa and also known as Moroccan ironwood and it comes under the category of carrier oil. It belongs to the region of Sous valley of southwestern Morocco and to the region of Tindouf in southwestern Algeria. Its growing capacity is 8-10 meters and has an age of around 200 years.
