Grapefruit is a subtropical tree and today, Florida has become a major center for grapefruit .Grapefruit tree has fragrant white flowers and a yellow fruit. Grape fruit is also known as ‘Shaddock’ fruit as there is a story that grapefruit has reached Barbados from china through captain ‘Shaddock’ and grapefruit seed has been found as a natural preservative.
