Clary Sage or Muscatel Sage has been highly valued for its aromatic and medicinal properties since ancient times and was known in the middle ages as “Oculus Christi” which translates to the “Eye of Christ”.Clary Sage has an herbaceous aroma which is mellow and warm and creates an environment which is uplifting and relaxing. Several studies demonstrate that the oil has antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-depressive, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiviral and antimicrobial properties. The oil is also said to be helpful in balancing and supporting the Sacral Chakra and the Third Eye Chakra.
