Myrrh Oil

Smell of Myrrh Oil
The scent of myrrh is one of its unique qualities. When starting to soak up the essential oil in a new bottle of Mure, the first thing one can see by its scent is that it is very warm, earthy and fragrant. After a few hours, Mure becomes oak and wood. And after about 12-24 hours, Myrrh becomes sweet and sour.

When mixed, Myrrh works well with other resins such as Frankincense oil, Elemi and Opoponax. Citrus oils such as Bergamot, Blood Orange and Green Mandarin also help to release the sweetness of Mure. Finally, when combined with flowers such as Geranium, Rose or Ylang Ylang, Myrrh tends to be woody and musky.

Like wine, the fragrance of Mure is said to improve over time.
