What is an Essential Oil?
Before we discuss the essential oils, let’s take a look at what essential oils are.
Essential oils are the essence of plants. To obtain essential oils, plant material is usually steamed or pressed cold and then collected.
You may be familiar with the healing benefits of herbs. For example, oranges and lemons. Both fruits contain large amounts of antioxidants. These antioxidants, along with other benefits, are also derived from the essential oils found in these fruits. In addition, essential oils also share the same aroma with the plants found in them.
How is this possible? Science shows that plants contain natural ingredients that lend themselves to healing and aroma. These nutrients are then transferred to essential oils. In this way, essential oils are closely related to the type of plants found in them.
What are the 10 most important Essential Oils?
Now that you are familiar with the essential oils, let’s jump into the top 10 essential oils, starting with the number 10.
- YLANG YLANG
Called ee-layng ee-layng, these aromatic essential oils are so popular in RK Products, that we offer three different types. And it is not surprising that Ylang Ylang oil offers a number of benefits, such as:
- An encouraging attitude
- Reducing stress
- Improving sleep
- Relieving muscle aches and pains
- Improving libido
- Improving skin care
- GERANIUM
Can’t find enough flowers? You are not alone, because our next best known oil is none other than Geranium. And like Ylang Ylang, we offer two varieties — Egyptian Geranium and Rose Geranium – but of the two, Egyptian Geranium made the cut for our top 10.
From balancing hormones and improving healthy hair to reducing pain and increasing blood circulation, Geranium improves overall health in a variety of ways. But of the many benefits of Geranium, its most effective therapeutic properties include:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Skin care
- Anti-fungal
- Anti-bacterial
- Anti-anxiety
Geranium can be enjoyed alone or with a combination of essential oils, such as Geranium Juniper Berry, Gal Pal, Skin Love and Spring Garden.
- EUCALYPTUS
Most people are familiar with the cool, cool, and fragrant eucalyptus scent because of its popularity in rubbing against the chest, cold, soaps, and so on. Its pungent odour is easily remembered and has been enjoyed by humans for centuries.
While Eucalyptus oil is energized by all its chemical composition, it is characterized mainly by 1,8-cineole which gives it its cool, spa-like aroma and therapeutic benefits. Scientists have discovered that this single component is responsible for many Eucalyptus healing properties, such as:
- Supporting the respiratory system
- Cooling pains
- Improve memory
- Strengthening infection
- Promoting hair growth
If you are looking to increase your oil collection, take Eucalyptus or try a combination like Eucalyptus Cardamom, Breathe Easy or Fighting Five.
- CLARY SAGE
Many of our top 10 essential oils include oils known for their variety, and Clary Sage is no different. A flowering plant native to the Mediterranean Basin, Clary Sage has historically been extracted from leaves and buds as a remedy for a few symptoms.
Its herbal, tea-like aroma and gentle aroma are popular with aromatherapy users and perfumers far and wide.

This edible, edible fruit grown in the Mediterranean climate was named after the city of Bergamo, Italy, where, it is said, it began to sink. It has long been used in complete Italian medicine to reduce stress and improve sleep quality.
As well as reducing stress and improving sleep, Bergamot oil can improve the appearance of skin and hair. Best natural remedies:

Frankincense’s popularity and health benefits have long existed, finding its place in the pantheon of special essential oils. In fact, one market research report, based on Frankincense oil, said:
